Andrew 'AJ' Johnson is a Steadicam / Camera operator based in Australia. As well as Steadicam and Camera work, he is also owns and operates the new MK-V 'AR-Revolution' system.
The AR-Revolution rig is the worlds most advanced body mounted camera stabilisation system which can perform beautifully smooth tracking shots just like a Steadicam. However unlike a Steadicam style rig, the AR's auto-leveling system also allows the camera to move freely at various heights, anywhere from ground level up to 8 foot high while automatically holding a level horizon.
The other main advantage of the AR system, is that because the 'rig' no longer needs to be kept vertical, the camera can now travel sideways; over and under objects, allowing the camera to go where it has never been able to go before.
Think of it as a mini-SuperTechno crane, with a self leveling head, mounted on a Steadicam !
Of course the system can also be setup in normal 'Steadicam' mode and used just like a conventional rig if the 'AR' system is not required.
